Sound insulation: floating floor for recording studio
For a customer who wanted to build a recording studio, DOX Soundproofing installed a floating floor using insulating floor battens. This decoupling floor system, together with further decoupling and isolation of the entire interior space, ensures complete sound insulation of this new recording studio.

This floor was composed of edge strips, insulating floor slats, OSB plates, PE construction foil and mineral wool as cavity filling between the slats.
Installation was performed by Dave Adriaensen, commissioned by DOX Sound Proofing.
This is the first phase of the project. In subsequent phases, the ceiling and walls will be tackled in order to arrive at a fully-fledged box-in-box system.
